Rinse Pump & Drain Pump

Fitted to commercial dishwashers and glasswashers when water pressure is low to increase the flow of water and ensure pressure is high enough to effectively clean crockery and glassware.

All Advantage commercial dishwashers and glasswashers come with an integral rinse booster pump as standard.

Commercial Dishwasher & Glasswasher Drain Pump

Drain pumps help to drain dirty wash water away from the dishwasher when gravity cannot be relied on to do so. They are required when the waste outlet is situated below the drainpipe it is feeding into – usually when the commercial dishwasher or glasswasher is located at floor level.

If the machine waste outlet is above the drainpipe gravity will be sufficient to drain away the dirty wash water – this usually occurs when the dishwasher or glasswasher is on a stand.

All Advantage commercial dishwashers or glasswasher come with a built in drain pump as standard.

Integral Break Tank

What is a break tank?

On commercial dishwashers and glasswashers, a break tank – also known as type “A” air gap – is used to prevent dirty wastewater back feeding from the machine and contaminating the main water supply. In the UK, the Water Regulations Approval Scheme (WRAS) require commercial dishwashers to be fitted with a break tank to ensure safety standards.

Do I need a break tank?

To comply with UK regulations, all our commercial dishwashers are fitted with a break tank as standard. A break tank is not a requirement in a glasswasher, however they can be used to guarantee consistent water pressure in sites where water pressure is not suitable.

If you would like some advice on whether you require a break tank, please contact us today on 02089936199 or email office@nelsonwash.co.uk

Internal Water Softener

What is a water softener?

In hard water areas, a water softener is required to remove minerals from the water supply. Left untreated, these minerals can reduce the performance of your machine and cause long term damage.

Internal water softener benefits:

  • Saves time as regeneration process does not need to be done manually
  • Saves space as it is built into the machine
  • Automatically alerts the user when regeneration is needed

Do I need a water softener?

If you are located in a medium or hard water area you will need a water softener. In soft water areas a water softener is not usually required – however, we recommend purchasing one if you wish to minimise the likelihood of limescale build up.

Check the website of your water board below to find out the water hardness in your area.
